Dell Technologies invites you to join the Enterprise Design Group as an Experience Strategy Intern in the UX Services Design team in Austin, Texas. You will partner with product management, research, and design teams to shape enterprise software experiences through research-driven strategies.

You'll develop journey maps, personas, and early concepts, and translate insights into actionable designs. This paid internship emphasizes collaboration, portfolio growth, and real-world impact.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as HCI/UX/Service Design or Design Strategy.
Foundational knowledge of user-centered design and research methods.
Interest in journey mapping, personas, or service blueprints.
Strong analytical and creative thinking with ability to turn findings into concepts.
Clear written and verbal communication, able to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

Support primary and secondary research, including competitive reviews and heuristic assessments.
Synthesize research into insights, personas, and journey maps to guide design and product research.
Help identify opportunities to improve user experiences and near-term quick wins.
Create scenario designs, storyboards, and concept cards and gather feedback on early concepts.
Prepare presentations and workshop materials to tell a customer-centered story to stakeholders.

Join us as an Experience Strategy Intern in Dell’s Enterprise Design Group’s UX Services Design team in Austin, Texas to do the best work of your career.

What you’ll achieve

As an Experience Strategy Intern, you will help uncover customer needs and turn research insights into actionable experience strategies that shape Dell’s enterprise software based products and services. You will work closely with a senior Experience Strategist and partner with product management, product strategy, research, content and design teams on journey maps, opportunity assessments, and early concepts that define what we build and why.

Responsibilities

You will:

Support primary and secondary research, including competitive reviews, best-in-class CX examples, and heuristic assessments of current products
Synthesize research findings into clear insights, personas, and journey maps that guide design business and product research
Help identify and prioritize opportunities to improve Dell’s customer experience, including near‑term experience quick wins
Create scenario designs, storyboards, and concept cards, and help gather feedback on early concepts
Prepare presentations and workshop materials that tell a compelling, customer‑centered story to stakeholders

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, UX or Service Design, Design Strategy, Cognitive Psychology, Business, or a related field
Foundational knowledge of user-centered design and research methods, such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing
Interest in, or exposure to, journey mapping, personas, or service blueprints
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative‑thinking skills, with the ability to turn findings into actionable concepts and ideas
Clear written, visual, and verbal communication, comfortable collaborating across teams and presenting
A portfolio or coursework showing research synthesis, journey maps, software concepts and/or strategic design work
Familiarity with tools such as Figma, FigJam, Miro, or PowerPoint, or exposure to enterprise technology or B2B services
Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, Figma Make, Devin, Co‑pilot

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The hourly salary range for this position is $29.60 - $31.80.
