Overview

Patient Service Representative at Unity Point Nurse Call Center—Cedar Rapids or Sioux City. This full-time remote position involves telephone screening, registration, and functions as a Patient Service Representative specifically for the IntelliCenter, working 4 days a week from 2 PM to 10:30 PM with rotational weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Support physician and service referrals.
  • Schedule 24-hour appointments and provide instructions.
  • Handle high-priority calls as a warm transfer to nursing staff.
  • Provide information and answer questions to ensure positive patient interactions.
  • Escalate difficult calls appropriately.
  • Gather patient identifiers and queue calls for callback by nursing staff.
  • Support outbound call campaigns and staffing assignments.
  • Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively.
  • Represent UnityPoint Clinics professionally and promote positive relations.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, with 1 year of customer service experience. Preferred: 1-2 years call center or medical receptionist experience.
