Axcex Media LLC seeks an experienced Service Technician - Fire Alarm & Security Systems based in and around the Greater Lynchburg, VA area.

Role Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team in Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and upgrading fire alarm, security, and life safety systems. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a customer-focused attitude.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs of fire alarm, security, and life safety systems to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
2. Use required tools and test equipment competently.
3. Diagnose system malfunctions and execute necessary repairs efficiently.
4. Program and have software knowledge of various life safety systems.
5. Collaborate with clients to explain system functionality, repairs needed, and upgrades recommended.
6. Maintain accurate documentation of service reports, inspections, and repairs using company systems.
7. Arrive punctually at work locations and ensure timely completion of projects.
8. Stay updated with industry advancements, codes, and standards.
9. Follow all safety guidelines and protocols on client sites.
10. Provide exceptional customer service to foster long-term client relationships.

Basic Position Requirements:

1. Industry experience is required.
2. NICET Level I or higher certification or equivalent state certification.
3. Experience with HILTI or STI systems is preferred.
4. Ability to be on call and travel 100%, including day-to-day and extended trips outside the territory.
5. Reside in Virginia.
6. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record for the past three years.
7. Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.
8. Ability to carry up to 75 lbs.
9. Pass background checks and routine drug tests.
10. Commitment to a tobacco, vape, and drug-free workplace.
