JPMorgan Chase is seeking an Experience Design Senior Associate to shape user experiences across web, mobile, and assisted surfaces within Card Acquisition. You will partner with product, engineering, content, analytics, and risk to translate customer needs and business goals into accessible, production-ready experiences.

You will contribute to end-to-end design of the card shopping journey, from discovery to application, while applying design systems and scalable patterns to improve shopper

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in a user experience design role focused on digital products.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop elegant solutions to interaction problems across products and platforms, ensuring consistency with industry best practices.
  • Apply information architecture and storyboarding to create user-centric designs that improve navigation and findability.
  • Conduct data-driven analyses to inform design decisions and turn data into insights for decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate accessibility and inclusive design principles.
  • Operate with an iterative design mindset, incorporating user feedback to improve experiences.
  • Analyze market trends, user research, and behavior to inform design decisions and team strategy.
  • Design key parts of the card shopping funnel (discovery, comparison, selection, application) with journeys, IA, wireframes, prototypes, and final UI specs.
  • Build with our design system, while knowing when to extend or adapt it for experience goals.
  • Propose scalable pattern improvements with accessibility, compliance, and reusable specs.
  • Partner with product, engineering, content, analytics, brand, and risk to support delivery through QA and release.
  • Contribute to experimentation and optimization work with hypotheses, success metrics, and learnings.

As an Experience Design Senior Associate in Card Acquisition Product, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our products and services by leveraging your advanced knowledge of experience design principles. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, create innovative, inclusive, and accessible solutions that cater to a diverse range of users. As a core contributor, align user needs with business goals. Your strong understanding of the financial services industry and JPMC's IT systems will contribute to the continuous improvement of our offerings, navigating complex problems and driving strategic thinking. Your impact will be significant in the design, architecture, and functionality of our products, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our customers. As an individual contributor on the Card Acquisition Product team, you will help design and improve the end-to-end card shopping journey across web (desktop and mobile) and assisted surfaces. You'll translate customer needs, business objectives, and risk and control requirements into clear, accessible, production-ready experiences that increase shopper confidence and reduce friction.

Job Responsibilities
  • Design and develop elegant solutions to specific interaction problems and ensure consistency across multiple products and platforms while adhering to industry best practices
  • Apply advanced knowledge of information architecture and storyboarding to create user-centric designs that enhance navigation, findability, and overall user satisfaction
  • Conduct data-driven analyses to inform design decisions and use data to transform raw information into valuable insights to inform decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate inclusive design principles and accessibility guidelines to ensure our products and services cater to a diverse range of users
  • Operate with an iterative design mindset and incorporate user feedback and insights to continuously improve the overall user experience of our offerings
  • Assist in the analysis of market trends, user research studies, and user behavior analyses to inform design decisions and contribute to the team's strategic thinking
  • Design key parts of the card shopping funnel (discovery, comparison, selection, and application entry) using journeys, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and final user interface specifications
  • Build primarily with our design system and established patterns while exercising strong judgment about when experience goals require extending or adapting the system
  • Propose scalable pattern improvements with clear rationale, accessibility and compliance considerations, and reusable specifications
  • Partner with product, engineering, content, analytics, brand, and risk partners to support delivery through quality assurance and release
  • Contribute to experimentation and optimization work with clear hypotheses, success metrics, and documented learnings
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
  • 3+ years in a user experience design or equivalent role dedicated to improving experiences with digital products and services
  • Proven ability to create visually appealing and functional designs using industry-standard tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and optimizing user experiences across multiple platforms, including web, mobile, and other digital channels
  • Previous experience interpreting complex data and transforming it into actionable insights for informed decision-making
  • Proficient understanding of inclusive design principles, accessibility guidelines, and assistive technologies, with a history of creating accessible and inclusive digital experiences
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
  • Experience designing shopping, comparison, or other conversion-oriented funnels
  • Experience working on regulated or high-trust products
  • Familiarity with experimentation (A/B testing) and metric-driven iteration
