Job summary

FirstLight Home Care of West Suburban Boston is seeking compassionate caregivers for flexible day shifts in the Framingham area. Earn $20–$23 per hour with per diem scheduling, and choose shifts that fit your availability while helping seniors stay safe and independent at home.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and transportation support.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of caregiving experience.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.
• Dependable and committed to scheduled shifts.
• Strong communication skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid driver’s license is a plus for transporting clients to appointments.

Current Opportunities

We are currently hiring caregivers for:

• Long Day Shifts – $20/hour

• Short Day Shifts – $23/hour

• Per Diem / Flexible Scheduling

• Opportunities for additional shifts/pay increase based on client needs and caregiver availability

What You'll Do

As a FirstLight caregiver, you'll provide one-on-one support that helps our clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life at home.

Depending on the client's needs, responsibilities may include:

• Providing personal care and assistance with activities of daily living

• Assisting with mobility and safe transfers

• Providing companionship and meaningful conversation

• Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping

• Providing medication reminders

• Assisting with errands, appointments, and transportation

• Observing and communicating changes in a client's condition

• Completing required documentation

• Providing dependable, compassionate support to clients and their families

What We're Looking For

We're looking for caregivers who are compassionate, professional, reliable, and genuinely enjoy helping others.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of caregiving experience — professional or family caregiving experience considered

• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care

• Dependable and committed to scheduled shifts

• Strong communication skills

• Reliable transportation

• Valid driver's license is a plus for transporting clients to appointments (if applicable)

• Ability to follow care plans and communicate appropriately with clients, families, and the FirstLight team

CNA or HHA certification is a plus, but is NOT required for all caregiver positions.
