Job description

Join to apply for the Expeditor Tooling Specialist role at Bell Flight.

Work Performed:

  1. Support all Bell facilities, suppliers, and government agencies with tool control and accountability data, reports, and schedules.
  2. Determine and perform processes from systems and tooling databases to create, track, and maintain control systems for government-owned tooling assets.
  3. Create, track, and maintain tooling scrap schedules.
  4. Maintain official government property records under FAR, researching tool usage, updating codes, and reporting status.
  5. Support annual DCMA audits with data.
  6. Coordinate tooling work orders with M.E. Projects.
  7. Screen and transfer “SET-POOL” tools to active contracts.
  8. Manage contract closing activities on tooling inventories and coordinate with Supply Chain and Government Property Accounting.
  9. Update tooling databases based on inventories and discrepancies, provide “Lost Tool Notifications” to Planning.
  10. Perform all duties as a Tool Expeditor.

Experience & Other Requirements:

  • At least two years of college education or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Special Tooling (ST) applications and Manufacturing Engineering processes.
  • Ability to apply FAR to BHTI policies and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Bell tooling databases and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
