Job summary

YKK Corporation of America in Macon, GA is hiring a Material Packer - Expeditor for 1st shift. You will receive goods, verify quantity and condition, and enter receivings into the computer system to move items to the proper process.

You will pull completed production daily, stock into the buffer zone or stage for shipping, and prepare shipping documents. Frequent forklift and scanner use, plus lifting up to 50 lbs and pushing up to 500 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED (minimum).
• Basic Math and Reading.
• Ability to organize and group goods.
• Computer/Scanner used for processing orders and receivings.
• Lift up to 50lbs and push carts up to 500lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive goods into the depot, verify the quantity and condition upon arrival. Key the receivings into the computer system and move the goods to the appropriate process. Receivings include, but are not limited to, purchased goods, import items, pallets, boxes and returned goods.
• Pull completed production daily and stock into the buffer zone or stage for shipping
• Process daily shipping requirements through the picking of goods and the use of the YKK computer system. Produce picking tickets or use destination cards to begin initial preparation for shipments and create the required shipping documents/labels for shipment. Must match the goods and quantity of the shipment with the shipping documents and must be accurate in compliance with government regulations.
• Assist in inventories and cycle counts as deemed necessary.
• Observe good housekeeping practices, safety precautions, rules and policies in the depot's buffer zone and shipping area. Must keep these areas clean and organized.
• Load carts into packing machine. Monitor machine to maintain packing production
• Perform other duties as assigned by management or as outlined in the Logistics ISO work instructions.
