Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking an Expeditor II to ensure delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will place and monitor purchase orders, coordinate with transportation, and optimize inbound/outbound warehouse processes. This role requires strong organization, problem-solving, and teamwork within a safety-conscious environment.

The position offers full-time hours in a warehouse setting with comprehensive benefits and room for advancement within a long‑standing distribution leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of purchasing experience and/or customer service or administrative support experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access).

Responsibilities

• Place and monitor purchase orders to maximize in-stock levels, minimize inventory exposure, and balance freight costs.
• Partner with other distribution center functions to maintain operating targets.
• Optimize receiving, storage, picking, and loading operations.
• Maintain inventory levels to minimize obsolescence and spoilage.
• Coordinate with the Transportation Department to optimize backhauls.
• Manage inter-center transfers, allocations, and supply and quality issues.
• This position has additional duties; special projects may be assigned.
