Trilogy at Lake Frederick: Shenandoah Lodge & Athletic Club
This campus includes the Lodge, Athletic Club, and Shoreline Outfitter, spanning over 36,000 square feet of indoor space and a lakeside veranda and patio. The restaurant, Region’s 117, and the Shenandoah Events Center are open to the public for dining reservations and private bookings.
Employment Status
Part‑time (minimum 15 hours per week).
Pay
$10 per hour.

Position Overview
The Expeditor works closely with Culinary and Food & Beverage staff to ensure food meets standards for quality, portion size, presentation and is delivered to guests in a timely manner. This role reports to the Food & Beverage Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf to support company goals.
- Ensure a consistent set of superior food‑service standards are met or exceeded.
- Create a productive and enjoyable work environment to inspire, motivate, and recognize team members.
- Maintain effective communication among team members regarding food operations, safety and employee concerns.
- Understand each menu item, ingredients and presentation standards. Know allergens.
- Monitor guest plates for quality, portion and presentation compliance.
- Facilitate communication between kitchen staff and servers so food is delivered promptly. Provide clear direction to servers and maintain focus at the food line.
- Keep the food line and surrounding areas clean and organized.
- Complete all opening and closing Server Assistant side work at shift start and end.
- Respond to safety issues or guest concerns with diplomacy.
- Ensure servers understand appropriate table setting, service ware, table numbers and position numbers.
- Monitor the IBS system for accurate daily entry.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications / Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- One year of high‑volume restaurant experience (preferred).
- Meet state and federal minimum age requirement for serving alcohol, if applicable.
- Current Food Handlers Card.
- Learn and perform all essential job functions safely and accurately with minimal supervision within two weeks of hire.
- Basic arithmetic skills for calculating discounts and percentages.
- Understand and implement BSRG dining standards.
- Comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memorandums.
- Communicate positively and effectively with team members about job tasks.
- Desire to contribute to a productive work environment with a positive attitude.
- Strong planning, problem‑solving, decision‑making, delegation, time management, supervisory and employee development skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

Work Environment
This position typically operates in an indoor restaurant setting but may also operate on a patio or at outdoor events, exposing employees to weather conditions and native wildlife. The environment can be noisy. Outdoor work may involve walking on variable terrain while carrying trays and navigating event obstacles.
Physical Demands
The role requires hearing, seeing, speaking clearly in a noisy environment, standing and walking for most of the shift, lifting and carrying trays up to 20 pounds, frequent hand washing and the ability to navigate busy work areas.
