Job summary

Epic Piping is seeking an Expeditor to join our Procurement team. You will manage project material expediting, maintain reports, and coordinate with procurement and material management across national and global projects.

A strong emphasis on timely communication with suppliers and internal teams helps ensure on-time spool release and project progress. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of expediting experience, familiarity with JD Edwards and MS Office, and a GED or high school diploma.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in expediting or procurement.
• Experience with supplier coordination and expediting processes.
• Familiarity with packing lists, Bills of Lading and MTRs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform project material expediting daily, maintaining professional relationships with suppliers.
• Maintain and submit current expediting reports weekly.
• Forward copies of packing lists, Bills of Lading, and MTRs to receivers per procedures.
• Coordinate activities with procurement, material management and other leads.
• Assist in resolving MDRs (Material Discrepancies).
• Work with supply chain resources to prioritize material delivery for spool releases.
• Attend project or client meetings as needed.
• Assist procurement and take proactive approach to tasks.

What You’ll Do

• Project Material Expediting daily, while maintaining good, professional working relationships with suppliers.
• Maintain and submit current expediting reports weekly.
• Obtain and forward copies of Packing List, Bills of Lading & MTR’s to Receiver (Based on advanced receiving procedure)
• Coordinate activities with other department leads (i.e. Procurement, Material Management, etc.)
• Assist in resolution of MDR’s (Material Discrepancies)
• Work with supply chain material control resources & project management to prioritize the delivery of material to maximize the release of spools.
• Attend project meetings as needed (internal or client meetings)
• Assist procurement.
• Take pro-active approach to the tasks at hand.

What You’ll Need

• Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); preferred
• Experience: 2 + years of experience
• Computer Skills: J.D. Edwards and Microsoft Office
• Certifications & Licenses: None Specifically Required
