Qualifications

• Colorado teaching license with Science endorsement required.
• Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education endorsement preferred or willingness to pursue endorsement or equivalent coursework.
• Experience teaching middle school science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design expeditions/investigations aligned with district and state standards and the school content map.
• Expedition documents must include compelling topics, in-depth investigations, and detailed project plans with literacy integration.
• Develop rubrics to assess student work throughout the expedition and support portfolios and student-led conferences.
• Utilize active and participatory pedagogy to engage students and differentiate instruction as needed.
• Create lesson plans that integrate literacy and support math and content understanding across subjects.

Education

Colorado teaching license with Science endorsement

Endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education preferred
