Job summary

Lindblad Expeditions seeks a Licensed Deckhand to maintain ship operations and guide guests aboard one of our U.S.-flagged vessels. You will operate Zodiacs, assist with docking, and support safety drills while ensuring exceptional guest experiences in remote destinations.

Rotational schedule 2 months on / 1 month off, 12-hour days; you must hold STCW BST, TWIC, and a valid 25 GRT Master License. Join a close-knit team dedicated to safety, teamwork, and discovery.

Qualifications

• Must have 25 GRT Master License (Near Coastal Waters).
• TWIC is required for access to U.S. ports.
• Valid US Passport or Permanent Resident Card with passport.
• STCW Basic Safety Training (BST) completed.
• USCG Medical Certificate current.
• STCW Crowd Management (CM).
• STCW Vessel Personnel with Designated Security Duties (VPDSD).
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification current.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps decks, cleans interior areas, and maintains ship cleanliness.
• Handles lines during docking and undocking; assists with anchoring.
• Operates Zodiacs to transport guests safely between ship and shore.
• Participates in onboard safety drills and safety trainings.
• Assists in loading guests and crew into inflatable boats; supports bridge watches as needed.
• Supports in maintenance, galley, and general ship operations.
