Job summary

Plascore, a global manufacturer of honeycomb core and composite structures, seeks an Aramid Expander for 1st shift in Zeeland, MI. You will set up and operate the aramid expander to produce blocks meeting customer specifications and company standards.

The role offers a starting wage of $20.29 per hour, a sign-on bonus, overtime opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Startup/verify secondary equipment is operating at set point.
• Check schedule to determine next order to process.
• Read work order instructions and processing specifications.
• Transfer unexpanded block with a forklift.
• Use overhead crane to load/unload blocks and metal frames.
• Insert metal rods into loops on both ends of block.
• Expand blocks to proper length, width, and cell size.
• Measure required dimensions with ruler and tape measure.
• Frame expanded block and move to oven cart.
• Push cart into oven and run cure cycle for each block.
• Remove cart and disassemble frame from block.
• Inspect blocks for quality issues.
• Enter process and work order information into computer system.
• Monitor equipment and make setup adjustments as necessary.
• Communicate with management regarding material or equipment concerns.
• Record production and scrap information on team boards.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and notify when re-order level is reached.
• Assist in quarterly inventory checks.
• Assist other departments as necessary.
• Provide value through cost, quality, and delivery by being efficient and careful.
• Participate in improving products, processes, and methods.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

SIGN ON BONUS

• $1200 FOR THIS ROLE ONLY.
• $100 EVERY 30 DAYS YOU WORK UNTIL 1 YEAR ($1200).

Currently there is an opening for an Expanderin ourAramiddivision on1st shift (Monday - Friday 6:30AM to 2:30PM.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Startup/verify secondary equipment (hot water heater) is operating at set point.
• Check schedule to determine next order to process.
• Read work order instructions and process specifications.
• Transfer unexpanded block with a forklift.
• Use overhead crane to load/unload blocks and metal frames.
• Insert metal rods into loops on both ends of block.
• Expand blocks to proper length, width, and cell size.
• Measure required dimensions with ruler and tape measure.
• Frame expanded block and move to oven cart.

• Transfer block onto roller cart for next operation.
• Complete associated paperwork.
• Enter process and work order information into computer system to maintain accurate records.
• Monitor equipment and make setup adjustments as necessary.
• Communicate with management representatives regarding any material or equipment concerns.
• Record production and scrap information on team board charts.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies. Notify supervisor when re-order level is reached.
• Assist in performing quarterly inventory checks.
• Assist other departments as necessary.
• Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery by being efficient, productive, and careful.
• Actively participate in improving our product, processes, equipment and methods.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times including waste/scrap removal and cleanup of equipment.
• Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.
