Job summary

Benevis is seeking an Expanded Services Dental Assistant to join our team in providing support to the office and assisting dental staff with treatments. You will help prepare patients, take X-rays, and maintain room readiness while upholding high standards of care and compliance.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient education, and efficient office operations. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, CPR-BLS certification, and experience in oral surgery or endodontics where available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in Oral Surgery, Endodontics, and Sedation Dentistry preferred.
• X-ray certification preferred according to state and practices.
• CPR-BLS Certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient.
• Guide parents of minors and patients through processes before treatment.
• Educate patients in oral hygiene instructions and provide postoperative instructions.
• Prepare patient for examination and treatment.
• Take X-rays and save to patient charts (location dependent).
• Ensure hygiene bay and operatory readiness.
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures.
• Assist staff with treatment including suctioning, retractors, and sutures.
• Document patient information and treatment plans in patient chart.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, chairs and rooms.
