Job summary

Anaheim Elementary School District is seeking an Expanded Learning-Enrichment Supervisor for afterschool programs. Shifts run 1:30pm-5:30pm, 1:45pm-5:45pm, or 2pm-6pm, for four hours daily.

The role supports educational activities, ensures student safety, and applies behavior management and crisis-response skills in a dynamic afterschool setting. Applicants should meet minimum education and certification requirements noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or its equivalent.
• AA degree or 48 semester units or equivalent, or pass an assessment.
• One year experience with children in an organized setting.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
• Knowledge of laws related to school safety.
• Knowledge of behavior modification and conflict resolution strategies.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures including fire drills and intruder drills.
• Ability to assist with educational activities in a learning environment.
• Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in emergencies.
• Ability to respond to crises with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to monitor students and respond quickly.
• Exposure to blood and potentially aggressive children.

Job Summary

These positions are for our afterschool program. Shifts are 1:30pm-5:30pm, 1:45pm-5:45pm, or 2pm-6pm.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or its equivalent
• Must have an AA degree or higher or at least 48 semester units of general education or meet a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrate through an assessment, the knowledge and ability to assist instruction.
• One year experience working with children in an organized setting
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Knowledge of Federal, state, and local laws relating to school and student safety.
• Knowledge of behavior modification and conflict resolution strategies and techniques; policies, rules and regulations concerning appropriate student behavior typical playground games
• Knowledge of district and school emergency procedures including fire drills, earthquakes, intruder on campus and others; basic content taught in District schools; basic instructional methodsand techniques.
• Ability to assist with educational-based activities in the Expanded Learning environment.
• Ability to effectively exercise discretion and judgment in choosing appropriate courses of action and responding to crisis and emergency situations in a timely manner.
• Ability to perform effectively and efficiently in situations requiring tact, diplomacy and good judgment.
• Ability to monitor students through continuous movement and respond to situations in a quick and timely manner.
• Potential exposure to blood, other bodily fluids, and children with aggressive behavior.
