True Care Dental in Ocala, FL is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) for a full-time role. You’ll support dentists and hygienists, handle chair-side care, charting, patient education, and efficient operatory setup.

Qualifications

• Expanded Functions Dental Assisting Certification FL from an accredited school.
• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred.
• X-ray certification (or ability to obtain promptly).
• Coronal polishing and Nitrous Oxide certifications preferred (but not required).
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide chair-side clinical support to Dentists and Hygienists.
• Manage patient flow to keep appointments efficient and on track.
• Capture and process X-rays and ensure great imaging.
• Enter treatment plans and maintain accurate patient records.
• Sterilize equipment and maintain a clean, organized operatory.
• Monitor lab cases and ensure readiness for the next day.
• Deliver positive patient experiences from welcome to goodbye.
