Job summary

Community Health & Dental Care, Inc. is seeking an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our clinical team in Pennsylvania.

You will support the dentist with chairside care, assist in placing sealants and restorations, manage X‑ray procedures, and perform charting and sterilization tasks in a fast‑paced community health setting. The ideal candidate holds EFDA licensure with an X‑ray certificate and CPR certification, plus dental office experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• EFDA licensure.
• X‑ray certificate.
• CPR certification.
• Dental office experience required.
• EFDA experience preferred.
• Bilingual/bicultural strongly preferred.
• Attendance required at assigned CHDC site(s).

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist in providing quality dental care in all venues including chairside assistance.
• Place preventative or restorative materials limited to sealants and metallic/nonmetallic materials.
• Place temporary filling materials, crowns, bridges, and remove sutures.
• Take and process X‑rays including Panorex.
• Computer charting and documentation.
• Perform instrument sterilization duties.
• Perform all assigned duties consistently with a safe and respectful patient care environment.
