Base pay range: $38.00/hr - $48.00/hr

Position Overview

Preferred Search Group is partnering with a top-rated private practice in Montgomery, OH, to find an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. This practice emphasizes excellent patient care and providing the best experience. Candidates must have their EFDA certification. The pay range is $38-48/hour. Schedule:

• Monday - Wednesday: 7:00 am - 4:30 pm
• Thursday: 6:45 am - 2:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for use
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required
• Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately in the system
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
• Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as needed
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
• Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure smooth patient flow and office operations
• Keep accurate records of treatments performed and assist with inventory management of dental supplies

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role in a dental clinic setting is preferred
• EFDA Certification
• Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft is preferred but not required
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple tasks effectively
