Union Community Care is seeking an EFDA-licensed dental assistant to support dentists in delivering patient care. You will assist with radiographs, prepare patients, take health histories, and perform chairside duties under supervision.

The role requires EFDA accreditation, active radiology certification, CPR, and annual trainings on fraud, waste, abuse and cultural competency. A sign-on bonus is available for this position.

Formación

• EFDA accreditation and licensed
• License recertification every two years
• Radiology certification; recertified every four years
• CPR certified; recertified every two years
• Child abuse clearance; re-checked every two years
• Attends fraud, waste, abuse and cultural competency classes every year
• Knowledge and familiarity with dental and medical terminology
• English proficiency required

Responsabilidades

• Welcomes and prepares patient to be treated by the dentist.
• Helps patient to feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
• Takes prescribed radiographs for the dentists.
• Reviews health and dental histories with the patient.
• Takes patient’s blood pressure.
• Places restorative material after dentist has prepared tooth.
• Places sealants, polishes and applies fluoride varnish as directed by dentist.
• Maintains dental equipment and informs Dental PM about repairs.
• Keeps dental supplies stocked and organized.
