Summer hours: Monday - Thursday 7:15-4:00pm

Regular office hours: (resumes Sept 8) Monday - Thursday 7:45am-4:30pm

Children's Dental Health is seeking a passionate Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our close-knit team in providing top-notch dental care to our patients.

As an EFDA, you'll have the chance to showcase your expanded skills and knowledge, assisting our dentist in a variety of procedures, including restorations, extractions, and root canals. You'll take and develop dental X-rays, manage patient records, and provide education on oral hygiene and post‑operative care. And, of course, you'll do it all with a friendly and empathetic approach that makes our patients feel at ease.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures
• Perform expanded functions, including restorations, extractions, and root canals
• Take and develop dental X-rays
• Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post‑operative care
• Provide excellent customer service and patient care

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an EFDA in the state of Pennsylvania
• Demonstrated desire to work in a pediatric setting
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Radiology certification
• CPR certification
