Job summary

Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers seeks an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant II for our Pike Dental Center in Lords Valley, PA. The role provides chair-side support, prepares operatory setups, and assists with x-ray procedures, sealants, temporary crowns, and coronal polish under a dentist’s supervision.

The position emphasizes sterilization, infection control, patient education, and coordination of supplies and equipment maintenance to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Requires EFDA licensure in PA.
• X-ray certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience with pediatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, record and review medical and dental history forms.
• Prepare patients and tray setups for dental procedures.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment.
• Assist the Dentist by handing instruments and suctioning as needed.
• Take dental x-rays and monitor patient during procedures.
• Coordinate supply orders and tracking with Materials Management.
