Job summary

ProSmile is seeking a qualified Dental Assistant w/ X-ray to join the Operations team in Maryland. The role supports dentists with expanded functions, radiography, and patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Schedule is Monday - Tuesday only, with no weekends. Candidates must complete an accredited dental assisting program and hold EFDA certification where required. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program and attainment of state licensure or certification as a dental assistant.
• EFDA certification through an accredited program or continuing education courses.
• Knowledge of dental assisting techniques and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean, organized, and sterile environment.
• Assist the dentist during procedures, including operative, restorative, endodontic, periodontic, and oral surgery tasks.
• Support patient comfort and education before, during, and after treatment to ensure a positive experience.
• Perform expanded functions under state regulations within EFDA training and certification scope.
• Take and process dental radiographs, maintain radiographic records, and ensure radiation safety compliance.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols; monitor logs and equipment.
