Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Expanded Function Dental experience preferred
• State certification in EFDA, but guidelines vary by state
• Current radiology certification in their state
• Outstanding professionalism, high moral standards, and a self-motivated work ethic
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with co-workers and patients

Responsibilities

• Preparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring equipment is ready for dentists
• Work with hands in tight spaces using sharp tools and instruments
• Teeth cleaning procedures including polishing and fluoride applications
• Assist with administrative tasks like patient histories and scheduling
• Knowledge of mouth anatomy and dental terms
• Take impressions and bite molds for treatment planning
• Assist dentists during procedures by handing instruments and anticipating needs
• Take and process patient X-rays
• Perform lab tasks as instructed
• Greet patients and schedule appointments
• Advise patients on oral hygiene
• Maintain patient records and assist with payments
• Deliver oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Handle general administrative duties to maintain the clinic
