Help A Child Smile, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant Team Leader in the Atlanta, GA and surrounding areas to help provide dental care to underserved children at their schools.

Our innovative in-school dental program offers a different experience than traditional dental practices. With a workday ending with the school day and no nights or weekends, our program is perfect for those seeking a diverse and unique working environment.

Qualifications for Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA):

• Active CPR certification
• At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant (DA)
• Experience with Digital X-ray Imaging for 1+ years
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally
• Ability to work well with children and adults
• Organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to carry up to 55 lbs.
• Ability to walk several flights of stairs as many schools lack elevators
• X-Ray Certification
• Sealant Certification
• Coronal Polishing Certification
• Fluoride Certification

Responsibilities of the Expanded Duties Dental Assistant:

• Providing dental assisting services during mobile clinics
• Digital X-ray Imaging
• Patient records charting
• Coronal polishing
• Equipment setup, breakdown, and sterilization assistance
• Travel daily to school sites

Team Lead Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Driving the company vehicle
• Willingness to travel daily
• Meeting deadlines and punctuality
• Reliability, organization, and punctuality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills with children and adults
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Ordering supplies, sterilizing instruments, spore testing
• Managing back-office duties
• Maintaining van and equipment condition
