Help A Child Smile, a school-based mobile dental practice, is looking for a Expanded Duties Dental Assistant in Athens, GA and surrounding areas to provide dental care to underserved children at their schools.

Our innovative in-school dental program offers a different experience from traditional practices. With workdays ending with the school day and no nights or weekends, it’s perfect for those seeking a diverse working environment, working parents, or anyone wanting to make a difference in the dental field.

Qualifications:

• Active CPR certification
• At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant
• Experience with Digital X-ray Imaging for 1+ years
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally
• Ability to work well with children and adults
• Organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Capable of lifting up to 55 lbs.
• Ability to walk stairs when needed (many schools lack elevators)
• X-Ray, Sealant, Coronal Polishing, and Fluoride certifications required

Responsibilities:

• Providing dental assisting services during mobile clinics
• Digital X-ray imaging
• Patient record charting
• Coronal polishing
• Equipment setup, breakdown, and sterilization
• Travel daily to school sites
