ExoConnect.io is seeking an Exocad Designer to work on a contract basis in a fully remote setting. You will design high-quality dental restorations and related digital models using exocad, reviewing case details and clinical files submitted by dentists, and uploading final files through the platform.

You will set your design fees, manage your schedule, and maintain case documentation within the ExoConnect.io system, collaborating with dentists to ensure deliverables meet functional and aesthetic

Company Description

ExoConnect.io is a new collaboration platform designed specifically for dentists and exocad designers, bringing all essential tools into one convenient digital space. The platform enables in-app messaging, secure file upload and download, integrated payment submission and acceptance, and built-in 3D viewers for streamlined case review. Designers independently set their own fees and manage their availability, allowing for flexible workflows and income control. ExoConnect.io is currently onboarding exocad designers ahead of a broader rollout to large groups of dentists who 3D print and mill in-office, offering early adopters strong growth potential and visibility.

Role Description

As an Exocad Designer at ExoConnect.io, you will work on a contract basis to design high-quality dental restorations and related digital models using exocad software in a fully remote environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing case details and clinical files submitted by dentists, creating and refining digital designs for crowns, bridges, implant restorations, and other prosthetics, and uploading final files through the platform. You will communicate with dental professionals via in-app messaging to clarify case requirements, adjust designs based on feedback, and ensure that deliverables meet functional and aesthetic expectations. You will manage your own schedule, set your design fees, track payments, and maintain accurate records of completed cases within the ExoConnect.io system. The role requires consistent attention to detail, timely case turnaround, and proactive collaboration with dentists to support high‑quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in exocad dental CAD software and experience designing crowns, bridges, implant restorations, and other fixed or removable prosthetics.
• Solid understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion, materials, and clinical workflows, preferably with prior experience in a dental lab or digital dentistry environment.
• Ability to work effectively with 3D viewers and digital files (STL and related formats), including reviewing scans and ensuring accurate margins and fit.
• Comfort with remote collaboration tools, in-app messaging, and secure file sharing; capable of clear, professional written communication with dentists.
• Reliable computer hardware, high-speed internet connection, and a suitable work setup to handle CAD design tasks and large file transfers.
• Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to handle multiple cases while meeting agreed turnaround times.
• Self-directed and business-minded approach, including willingness to set fees, manage availability, and maintain case documentation.
• Prior contract or freelance CAD design experience is beneficial; formal training or certification in dental technology, dental CAD/CAM, or a related field is a plus.
