Sonoma Valley Museum of Art is seeking an Exhibitions Manager to develop and coordinate the organization, logistics, and execution of SVMA exhibitions and its public spaces. The role collaborates with the executive and deputy directors, engagement and exhibitions teams, and leads exhibition design, timelines, budgets, and shipping coordination.

The Exhibitions Manager ensures proper art handling, loan agreements, and manages part-time preparators, while maintaining comprehensive exhibition

Responsibilities

• Develops and coordinates the organization, logistics, and execution of SVMA exhibitions and its public spaces.
• Works closely with the executive director and deputy director, engagement & exhibitions teams.
• Sets exhibition and installation timelines and budgets.
• Coordinates art shipments, conducts and oversees art handling, prepares loan agreements.
• Hires and manages part-time preparators, maintains complete exhibition records.
• Maintains safe and secure operations of the onsite art storage area and the exhibitions shop.
• Leads monthly long-range exhibition team meetings and participates in staff gatherings.
