Job summary

Harford Community College seeks a Coordinator for the LaCalle Chesapeake Gallery to install and de-install exhibitions, promote events, oversee the gallery’s digital presence, and work with GACC to curate exhibitions and plan activities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts or related field and at least two years of gallery experience in exhibition planning and installation, plus strong communication and budgeting abilities.

Qualifications

Minimum of two years gallery experience in exhibition planning and installation.
Experience with promoting exhibitions and events via websites and social media.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and budgets.

Responsibilities

Plan LaCalle Chesapeake Gallery exhibitions and related events with GACC.
Manage all aspects of exhibitions including artist communications, scheduling, installations and deinstallations.
Oversee promotion of exhibitions via gallery website and social media.
Coordinate educational and co-curricular planning, including internships.
Document artwork and maintain gallery space operations.
Engage in community outreach to raise the gallery’s visibility and impact.
Build and maintain a network of patrons and sponsors.
Plan and promote events utilizing the gallery space for internal and external stakeholders.
Attend monthly GACC meetings and report on exhibitions and activities.
Manage gallery supplies, equipment and the budget.
