Job summary

The University Museums are seeking an Exhibition Manager and Lead Preparator to oversee planning, coordination, and execution of all exhibitions at the Harnett Museum of Art and Lora Robins Gallery. You will lead production timelines, budgets, and installation plans, ensuring high standards and on-time openings.

As a skilled art handler, you will manage fabrication, CAD layouts (SketchUp), AV displays, and a team including the Exhibition Preparator and interns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in art preparation or exhibition planning.
• Experience with exhibition design, timelines, and budgeting.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and CAD drawings for installations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and management of all museum exhibitions and permanent installations.
• Develop production timelines, budgets, and installation plans.
• Lead exhibition preparation, fabrication, and coordination of AV displays.
• Supervise Exhibition Preparator and interns; coordinate contractors as needed.
• Ensure installations meet standards, ADA requirements, and safety protocols.
