Job summary

The Cleveland Museum of Art seeks a Head of Exhibition Design to lead a four-person team and drive both strategic direction and daily operations of the Exhibition Design Department. The role collaborates with the Chief Exhibition, Design, and Publications Officer on institutional design projects and standards.

Responsibilities include managing a large portfolio, developing design standards, budgeting, and coordinating with internal partners to deliver innovative, accessible visitor experiences

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with extensive art museum project experience.
• Ten years of art museum design experience with proven leadership.
• Advanced expertise in museum exhibition design and visitor experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a department of 4 staff with strategic direction and SOP oversight.
• Oversee design development for 30+ concurrent projects across exhibitions and institutional initiatives.
