Job summary

Gallagher & Associates - Museum Operations seeks an Exhibit Designer to shape the visitor experience by integrating graphics, media concepts and spatial design. You will translate concepts into visuals and drawings, coordinating with senior designers and the Creative Director to deliver cohesive exhibit environments.

Your role includes developing construction drawings, communicating design intent, and collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years in exhibit design or related field.
• Good general knowledge of fabrication techniques and material standards used in exhibit design.
• Proficiency in modelling and rendering tools (Vectorworks, Rhino or SketchUp) and 3D visualization (3ds Max/Cinema 4D/Enscape).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Exhibit Design, Architecture, or Industrial Design (or equivalent field experience).

Responsibilities

• Develop designs, including interactive experiences and 3-D exhibit elements from concept to final drawings.
• Illustrate design concepts through hand sketches, renderings and animations.
• Develop drawing documentation packages, including construction drawings.
• Maintain workflow aligned with project schedule and deadlines.
• Collaborate with designers, media/content teams, and clients to meet project goals.
• Coordinate with G&A staff, sub-contractors, and clients; travel to meetings/site visits as needed.
