Job summary

Access TCA in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an Exhibit Builder to craft, assemble, and repair booth cabinets and components. You will work from detailed prints, read blueprints, and use hands-on woodworking tools to fabricate exhibits to spec.

You will collaborate with leads and production teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety, while maintaining neat production areas and accurate production paperwork for each job.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in construction and cabinetry skills; proficient with hand and power tools.
• 1–3 years’ experience in exhibit production or cabinet making.
• High School diploma.
• Ability to work in a team and meet tight deadlines with high quality.

Responsibilities

• Confer with Lead Exhibit Builder or Project Manager on changes from prints.
• Work with estimating and accounts to identify cost efficiencies.
• Construct exhibits and exhibit components.
• Keep production area clean and orderly.
• Design templates, jigs, and fixtures for production exhibits.
• Complete fabrication work timely and efficiently.
• Fill out detailed production paperwork and reports.
• Trim joints and fit parts; prepare and apply surfaces and laminates.
• Read blueprints and specifications; operate saws and woodworking machines.
• Read and interpret drawings; perform other duties as assigned.

Job Location: LVN - Las Vegas, NV 89118Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $25.00 - $28.00 HourlyJob Category: General LaborThe Exhibit Builder is responsible for crafting, assembling, and repairing exhibit booth cabinets and components. The builder is also responsible for completing work submitted through work orders according to established processes. Adherence to the quality and safety standards of the shop and surrounding areas is required.

What you’ll do:

• Confer with Lead Exhibit Builder or Project Manager regarding suggestions for changes from detail prints
• Work closely with the estimating and account services teams to proactively identify and implement potential cost efficiencies
• Construct exhibits and exhibit components
• Ensure that the production department is always clean and in tour condition
• Design and make templates, jigs, and fixtures for production exhibits and exhibit components
• Complete all fabrication work in a timely and efficient manner
• Filling out detailed production paperwork and reports
• Trim joints and fit parts together
• Prepare and apply solid surfaces
• Prepare and apply metal and plastic laminates
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Prepare and apply veneers
• Set up and operate saws and other woodworking machines to cut, shape, and form parts
• Perform other duties as assigned
