Exeter Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician for Day shifts in Exeter, NH. Under a licensed Pharmacist, you will support sterile compounding, IV workflow and daily Pharmacy operations.

Required NH registration within 30 days of hire and CPhT with PTCB or NHA; sterile compounding experience preferred. Per diem status may include shift differentials and overtime as applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• NH registration within 30 days of hire.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with PTCB or NHA.
• Sterile compounding experience or 6 months as Pharmacy Tech I.

Responsibilities

• Compentent in all pharmacy roles/shifts within the dept.
• Prepare sterile compounds per USP 797 guidance.
• Maintain PEC/SEC cleaning and disinfection competency.
• Complete continuing education for sterile compounding registration.
• Maintain IV workflow accuracy and assist orientation of new staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Exeter, NH • Exeter Hospital • Per Diem • DayWhen you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.Under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, assists in the daily operations of the Pharmacy Department.Job Description:Major Responsibilities:Competent in all pharmacy roles/shifts within the department and fulfills all duties of the Pharmacy Technician I.Prepares sterile compounds and applies knowledge of USP pharmaceutical compounding of sterile preparations.Maintains competency in cleaning and disinfection of the Primary Engineering Control (PEC) and Secondary Engineering Control (SEC) as demonstrated by successful monthly surface sampling results below USP 797 accepted action levels.Completes required continuing education to maintain sterile compounding registration with the New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy.Completes daily tasks and documentation for all tasks assigned to sterile compounding of the PEC and SEC.Maintains competency in the IV workflow system and maintains accuracy below Exeter Hospital Pharmacy defined action levels.Assists with the orientation and training of new staff.Performs other duties and projects as assigned.Requirements:High School Diploma or GEDRegistered with state of NH within 30 days of hireNew Hampshire registered Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with the (PTCB or NHA)Sterile compounding experience or 6 months as Pharmacy Tech I required.Pay Range:$19.94 – $28.62The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.
