Job summary

AEP Service Corporation is seeking a Senior Exercise & Training Analyst to lead disaster recovery testing, exercise design, and training across emergency management, business continuity, and enterprise preparedness. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, certifications and relevant experience.
• 4–6+ years of experience in exercise design, training development, emergency management, business continuity, or related disciplines.
• Experience supporting or leading exercise design, facilitation, evaluation, training delivery, after-action reporting, and HSEEP methodology.

Responsibilities

• Lead exercise and training activities in alignment with the Enterprise Resilience Policy and HSEEP.
• Develop exercise materials, learning objectives, curricula and facilitator guides.
• Coordinate with Business Units, operating companies and external partners to validate preparedness.
• Document results, manage evidence, and contribute to after-action reporting and improvement plans.
• Support and mentor junior analysts in exercise design and documentation quality.
• Manage scheduling, materials preparation, facilitation support, and evidence handling for delivery events.

Job Posting End Date09-27-2026Please note the job posting will close on the day before the posting end date.Job SummaryThe Senior Exercise & Training Analyst will initially focus on Disaster Recovery technology testing and exercise activities, while supporting related training activities and maintaining broader exercise and training responsibilities across Emergency Management, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, operational resilience, incident management, and enterprise preparedness in alignment with the Enterprise Resilience Policy and the Training, Exercise and Evaluation Standard. This role develops exercise and training materials, supports facilitation, manages evidence, documents results, and contributes to after-action reporting, corrective-action tracking, records maintenance, and program reporting. The Senior Analyst partners with Business Units, Operating Companies, technology stakeholders, and external partners to validate preparedness capabilities against defined scope, objectives, assumptions, dependencies, RTO/RPO expectations, validation criteria, and enterprise preparedness standards. Assignments may focus on exercise activities, training activities, Disaster Recovery testing, or integrated exercise and training efforts based on program needs.
