Job summary

Applied Training Solutions, LLC seeks an Exercise Support Cell Manager to supervise the Camp Mackall ESC Team and oversee training facility logistics and infrastructure support at Camp Mackall and Range 37 in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Camp Mackall ESC Team and Camp Mackall Logistics Specialist.
• Attend coordination meetings and provide support as priorities are established by the COR and Program Manager.
• Support the full range of logistical services for Camp Mackall and Range 37 training facilities, including repair and maintenance management of facilities, grounds, and ancillary equipment.
• Support design, maintenance, repair, erection, and deconstruction of training infrastructure and objectives, including carpentry, painting, masonry, electrical, plumbing.
• Coordinate and supervise work involving Government-furnished equipment, tools, facilities, materials, and training infrastructure with safety requirements.
• Identify maintenance, material, supply, and additional-support requirements to sustain training facilities and property.
• Ensure ESC support across indoor, outdoor, industrial, and field conditions and that personnel can perform required tasks.
• Maintain management continuity and adapt support activities to changing training priorities.

Exercise Support Cell Manager

Camp Mackall, North Carolina

The Exercise Support Cell Manager is responsible for supervising the Camp Mackall Exercise Support Cell (ESC) Team and the Camp Mackall Logistics Specialist. The position supports Range 37 and Camp Mackall training through construction, facility maintenance, logistical services, and training infrastructure support, and attends coordination meetings while supporting priorities established by the COR and Program Manager.

Job Duties

• Supervise the Camp Mackall ESC Team and Camp Mackall Logistics Specialist.
• Attend coordination meetings and provide support as priorities are established by the COR and Program Manager.
• Support the full range of logistical services required for Camp Mackall and Range 37 training facilities, including repair and maintenance management of facilities, grounds, and ancillary equipment.
• Support design, preparation, maintenance, repair, erection, and deconstruction of training infrastructure and objectives, including general carpentry, painting, masonry, electrical, plumbing, and related maintenance activities within the support element's scope.
• Coordinate and supervise work involving Government-furnished equipment, tools, facilities, materials, and training infrastructure in accordance with applicable safety and performance requirements.
• Support identification of maintenance, material, supply, and additional-support requirements needed to sustain training facilities and associated property.
• Ensure ESC support is performed across applicable indoor, outdoor, industrial, and field conditions and that assigned personnel can perform the required physical and equipment-operating tasks.
• Maintain management continuity and adapt support activities to changing training priorities and simultaneous exercise requirements.

Basic Qualifications

• Meet the qualification pathway for the Exercise Support Cell Manager: Construction Management certification and/or at least two (2) years of construction project management experience, or equitable experience and/or certification such as successful construction trade business ownership or management; subject matter expertise on all aspects of construction and facility maintenance operations.
• As ESC personnel, be capable of lifting 30 pounds; operating heavy equipment, trucks, tractors, mowers, or motor vehicles; performing basic repair/maintenance and construction of facilities, grounds, and ancillary equipment; and working in the environmental and industrial conditions specified for ESC personnel.
• Current and valid SECRET security clearance.

• Performance Location: Camp Mackall, North Carolina. The ESC supports Camp Mackall and Range 37 training facilities.

Working Environment

ESC work includes indoor and outdoor construction, maintenance, logistics, equipment operation, and facility-support activities. Environmental factors that can include excessive heat or cold, humidity, noise, dust, fumes, solvents, grease and oils, flammable materials, electrical energy, uneven surfaces, moving machinery and vehicles, ladders/scaffolding, below-ground work, heights, vibration, and working either closely with others or alone.
