Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a Clinical Exercise Physiologist to develop exercise prescriptions and oversee progression for patients with chronic diseases within the Stress Testing department in Aurora, CO. This onsite role emphasizes hands-on leadership and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires ACLS, BLS/CPR, and credentials such as CCT/CRAT or ACSM-CEP, plus a Bachelor's (Master's preferred) in Exercise Physiology or related field and 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• ACLS and one of: CCT or CRAT or ACSM-CEP.
• BLS/CPR certification for the Professional Rescuer; valid through start date.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates departmental program in Stress Testing.
• Mentors, monitors, coaches, and evaluates team performance.
• Coordinates services, prioritizes assignments and workflow; promotes problem solving.
• Performs duties of the role; guides team on complex issues.
• Works in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $25.80 - $38.70 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary

Develops exercise prescription and oversees exercise progression in patients with chronic diseases. Leads team members by demonstrating and providing advanced knowledge of job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental program.
• Provides mentoring, monitoring, coaching, and evaluation of team members' performance, especially in the areas of productivity and quality management.
• Assists with coordinating services, prioritizing assignments and workflow, and promoting situational decision-making/problem solving.
• Performs responsibilities of underlying job. Takes responsibility for, or provides guidance to team members on, the handling of complex or novel issues.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

• Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician
• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science or related field. Preferred: Master's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science or related field.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• ACLS and one of the following: Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) or Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) or ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologists (ACSM-CEP)
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
