Job summary

Holy Cross Health Florida in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Full-time Fitness Specialist to perform sub-maximal exercise tests and fitness evaluations, and to prepare individualized exercise prescriptions based on results. You will demonstrate proper techniques on all equipment and guide members through programs.

You’ll orient and supervise members using Fitlinx, answer questions, and coordinate with MD offices as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience with a high-volume health and fitness facility.
• Current BLS certification.

Minimum Qualifications

• Required: Minimum Bachelors Degree or higher in exercise science or related field. A minimum of 1 year experience with a high volume health and fitness facility and current BLS certification.
• Preferred: Advanced education through college, ACE, AFAA, or ACSM in exercise prescription and /or fitness testing and implementation preferred. Cardiac rehabilitation experience preferred.
