Inova Fairfax Hospital's Cardiac Rehabilitation department in Falls Church, VA seeks a dedicated Exercise Physiologist to join as a PRN team member. You will work with a multidisciplinary group, develop care plans, and support diagnostics and exercise prescription in a hospital setting.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Exercise Physiology/Exercise Science/Kinesiology and BLS within 6 months. Preferred candidates have ACSM CEP or AACVPR CCRP experience, plus internship or hospital-based rehab

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology required.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire required.
• Preferred ACSM CEP for Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab or AACVPR CCRP.
• Internship experience in Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab setting.
• Experience as an Exercise Physiologist in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Works on a multidisciplinary team to care for patients and develop comprehensive care plans.
• Administers or supports diagnostics testing to support diagnosis and treatment plans and participates in chronic disease efforts.
• Develops exercise prescription and risk factor modification per established standards and guidelines.
• Evaluates patient responses to treatment plans and develops ongoing plans.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Inova Fairfax Hospital - Cardiac Rehabilitation is looking for a dedicated Exercise Physiologist to join the team. This role is a PRN position.

Exercise Physiologist 1 Job Responsibilities:

• The Exercise Physiologist 1 works on a multidisciplinary team to care for patients and develop comprehensive care plans of agreed-upon goals.
• Administers or supports diagnostics testing to support diagnosis and treatment plans and participates in a community effort to support chronic disease
• Develops exercise prescription and risk factor modification by incorporating comorbidity and musculoskeletal disorders, per established program (ACCVPR, ACSM, ATS, ACC, NASM) standards and guidelines, as evidenced by random chart review.
• May include evaluating patient responses to prescribed treatment plans, testing, and procedures and developing ongoing plans.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education:Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology.
• Certification:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• American College of Sports Medicine - Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM CEP) for Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab Programs; or Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (AACVPR CCRP)
• Internship experience in a Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab setting
• Experience as an Exercise Physiologist in a hospital setting
