Covenant Health in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Cardiac Rehabilitation professional to deliver and develop content for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program and assist with the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health/Medical-related field or Bachelor's Degree with 3 years' experience.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Master's Degree in Health/Medical-related field or Exercise Physiology with internship and training.
  • Coursework in Cardiac Rehabilitation-related subjects.
  • Upon hire: ACSM certification.
  • Upon hire: Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional.
  • 300 hours internship or volunteer in Cardiac Rehabilitation.
  • 6 months of direct cardiac patient care.
  • 6 months of teaching health-related topics to adults.
  • 1 year of experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation.
  • 1 year as a Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer.
  • 1 year in a stress testing environment.
  • 1 year with EPIC EMR

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and develop content for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program.
  • Assist with the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program.
  • Conduct fitness assessments and health consultations as needed.
  • May serve as an exercise test technologist in Nuclear Cardiology.
  • Work with the team to support patient care objectives.

Description

Delivers, organizes, and develops the content for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. May also assist with the delivery of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program. May be required to conduct fitness assessments exercise prescriptions and health and fitness consultations for patients in Cardiac Rehabilitation and/or members of a 'wellness' center within the facility. May serve as an exercise test technologist in the Nuclear Cardiology department.

Working hours are from 8:30 am to 5:30 PM and will work one Saturday a month conducting stress testing.

Monday-Wednesday-Friday in the Cardiac Rehab.

Tuesday-Thursday in Pulmonary Rehab.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Health/Medical-related field of study or Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years' experience.

  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree: Health/Medical-related field of study or Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology with completed internship and training.

  • Coursework/Training: Coursework/credit in Cardiac Rehabilitation-related subjects.

  • Upon hire: American College of Sports Medicine Certification (ACSM).

  • Upon hire: Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional - American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

  • 300 hours internship or volunteer experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation. Or

  • 6 months of direct cardiac patient care. Or

  • 6 months of teaching health-related topics to adults.

  • 1 year of experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation.

  • 1 year of experience as a Fitness Instructor and/or Personal Trainer.

  • 1 year of experience in a stress testing environment.

  • 1 year of experience with Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
