Corpus Christi Medical Center The Heart Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Exercise Physiologist for Cardiac Rehab to provide patient-centered, goal-directed care using systematic assessment, implementation, and evaluation.

You will document data, apply clinical judgment, and coordinate resources while upholding attendance, ethics, and ongoing education requirements. This role reinforces high-quality cardiac care within a leading healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of employment.
• Bachelor of Science with emphasis on Exercise Physiology and/or Kinesiology.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
• Experience in a cardiac rehab setting preferred; new grads with related clinical experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the systematic process of assessment, implementation, and evaluation for patient care.
• Documents data accurately and in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates proper judgment, priority setting, and decision-making abilities.
• Effectively organizes and utilizes available resources.
• Adheres to hospital policies on attendance and punctuality.
• Attends educational programs to stay current in area of expertise.
• Demonstrates adherence to nursing protocols and unit competency requirements.
• Maintains professional conduct and ethics in all responsibilities.
• Participates in mandatory compliance training.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Provide individualized, goal directed care to patients through the use of the systematic process of assessment, implementation, and evaluation. Ensures high service standards while promoting an excellent patient experience. Continuous work that will have scheduled breaks or breaks will occur at the completion of an assignment. The employee does not control the pace of the volume of the work.

• Utilizes the systematic process of assessment, implementation and evaluation while caring for individual patient and families.
• Documents data in a pertinent, accurate manner.
• Demonstrates appropriate judgment, priority setting skills, and decision making abilities.
• Consistently and effectively organizes and utilizes available resources.
• Adheres to hospital policy on Attendance/Punctuality.
• Attends educational programs by utilizing available resources in order to keep current in area of expertise.
• Demonstrates accurate utilization of nursing protocols/standard care statements, policies and procedures. Completes unit specific competency list.
• Responsible and accountable for professional conduct.
• Expectations Ethics and Compliance 1. What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Bachelors of Science with an emphasis on Exercise Physiology and/or Kinesiology.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support
• Experience in a Cardiac Rehab setting is preferred; new grads will be considered with clinical experience in cardiac rehab
