Job summary

Stoughton Health invites an Exercise Physiologist to join our Cardiac Rehab team on a per-diem basis at Stoughton Hospital. You will supervise and guide Phase II/III cardiac rehab, ensure safe exercise environments, and tailor programs for PAD SET and primary prevention patients.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), BLS certification (ACLS preferred), and proficiency with electronic health records and MS Office.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and basic MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Phase 2 patients.
• Develop individualized exercise prescriptions per ACSM/AACVPR guidelines.
• Interpret resting and exercise EKG.
• Provide treatment based on the treatment plan.
• Educate patient and family regarding treatment plan and goals.
• Coordinate care.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for an Exercise Physiologist to join our team on a Per-Diem basis in our Cardiac Rehab department. The Exercise Physiologist is responsible for supervising, monitoring and providing a safe exercise environment for Phase II/III Cardiac, SET for PAD, and Primary Prevention rehabilitation patients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provides appropriate evaluation for Phase 2 patients
• Identifies problems and develops individualized exercise prescription (ITP) in accordance with ACSM/AACVPR guidelines and physician recommendations
• Ability to perform and accurately interpret resting and exercise EKG
• Provide treatment based on the treatment plan
• Educate patient and family regarding treatment plan and goals
• Coordination of care

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Required: Bachelor's Degree
• Preferred: Master's Degree
• Certification: Current BLS certification
• Prefer current ACLS certification
• Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements
• Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning skills. Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter
• Work Shift: Per-Diem 2 shifts per month (if shifts are available)
