Job summary

Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital is seeking per diem Exercise Physiologists to join the Cardiac Rehab team in New Rochelle, NY. You will perform patient assessments, design and supervise exercise programs, provide education, and ensure safety on the exercise floor while maintaining equipment quality.

Minimum Bachelor’s in Exercise Science/Physiology is required; Master’s preferred. BLS is mandatory with ACLS certification preferred; ACSM certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science / Physiology required.
• Masters Degree preferred.
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association required and ACLS certification preferred.
• ACSM Certification a plus.
• Prior experience in a similar role; new graduates will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' fitness and health.
• Design exercise programs to meet patient goals by increasing cardiovascular fitness.
• Maintain daily quality control for Cardiac Rehab equipment.
• Prepare medical necessity reports.
