Job summary

Orange County Property Appraiser seeks a Manager, Exemptions, Deeds, & Tax Roll to supervise Exemptions, Tax Roll, and Deeds divisions in Orlando. Responsibilities include coordinating staff, reviewing exemption eligibility, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

The role requires at least five years of supervisory experience in exemptions or related work, plus a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Florida statutes knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of supervisory experience in exemptions, public administration, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Knowledge of Florida statutes and exemption processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Exemptions, Deeds, and Tax Roll divisions and coordinate staff duties.
• Review exemption applications for accuracy and eligibility; maintain documentation.
• Oversee compliance investigations, liens, and tax roll certificates in coordination with Tax Collector’s Office and Florida Dept. of Revenue.
• Ensure QA standards for exemptions, deeds, and tax roll processes; prepare annual budgets and training.
