Job description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Manage financial and regulatory reporting of private equity funds with focus on critical processes such as valuations, risk, and liquidity management. Lead financial aspects of the funds, setting up workflows, implementing controls, and arranging deal funding. Create short-term and long-term strategy for operational models. Take part in operational due diligence during fundraising. Conduct oversight of external stakeholders such as fund administrator and tax advisory. Lead governance, board, and senior management meetings with financial and operational updates. Manage investor reporting and ad-hoc investor questions. Manage ad-hoc requests from senior management. Manage budget of the management company and fund. Lead technology and automation conversations to implement efficiencies into workflows. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: 3-year or 4-year Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Financial Accounting and Auditing, Finance, Business Management, Economics, Financial Accounting, or related field of study plus 9 years of experience in the job offered or as Executive Director Fund Accounting, Accounting Vice President, Associate, Analyst or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Accounting, Financial Accounting and Auditing, Finance, Business Management, Economics, Financial Accounting, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Executive Director Fund Accounting, Accounting Vice President, Associate, Analyst or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: working with financial entity structuring as well as regulatory, compliance, and tax concepts; derivatives and related financial and regulatory reporting; working cross-functionally with Product, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Technology departments to develop and implement risk mitigation processes; advising senior management on legal, risk, and compliance matters; building accounting processes, as well as financial and management reporting workflows, from the ground up; developing controls around the books and records close process along with middle office treasury and cash management; managing reporting for balance sheets of $100M or more; using Excel to run calculations using complex formulas for financial reporting and management analysis; project management for strategic initiatives with regulatory and reporting impacts; managing a global team of finance professionals involved in financial and regulatory reporting.

Job Location: 277 Park Ave., New York, NY 10172. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel. .

Full-Time. Salary: $260,000 - $325,000 per year.
