Job summary
The Collier Companies is seeking a Senior Vice President of Accounting to lead the accounting function for a large multifamily portfolio from the Florida Home Office in Gainesville. This on-site role manages day-to-day accounting, the month-end close, financial reporting, analysis, and a team of accountants, while driving automation and AI-enabled improvements.
Candidates should have CPA and 5–8+ years of accounting experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and CPA preferred or actively pursuing.
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience including supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience with Entrata or similar property management ERP systems and GAAP reporting.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
- Prepare executive summaries and dashboards communicating portfolio performance and risks.
- Review and approve community-level financial statements, variances and reports.
- Analyze assets and portfolio performance and build financial forecasts.
- Oversee bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and consolidations.
