Job summary

Phoenix VX is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead two facilities near the Washington DC Metro Area, blending strategic direction with hands-on execution to boost safety, quality and productivity.

The role demands 10+ years in food manufacturing leadership, on-site daily, and a Bachelor's in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (Master's preferred). Base salary is around $120k–$130k per year, with an attractive benefits package.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive leadership experience within food manufacturing.
5+ years of direct production, manufacturing, or plant operations leadership experience.
Proven success improving productivity, efficiency, quality, throughput, and costs.
Experience leading high-volume or complex food manufacturing operations.
Experience working with manufacturing ERP systems and safety/compliance protocols.

Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership for plant operations with a focus on safety, food quality, productivity, accountability, cost control, and continuous improvement.
Develop and execute operational strategies that support growth, customer requirements, and financial objectives.
Oversee manufacturing, production, maintenance, quality, inventory, distribution, and facilities operations.
Establish KPIs, budgets, productivity targets, and performance objectives.
Lead initiatives to improve equipment reliability, maintenance, capacity, and overall plant efficiency.
Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, HR and other leaders to drive results.
Develop, coach, and mentor plant leaders and supervisors.
