Evidence Action is seeking a Chief of Staff to help scale strategy across a global nonprofit. Based in Washington, DC, you will align board priorities with CEO initiatives, coordinate with a global senior team, and design an operating rhythm that survives leadership changes.

You will build processes, dashboards, and cross-functional workflows, ensuring decisions translate into concrete actions. This role rewards systematic thinking, autonomy, and collaboration across time zones.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of experience in management consulting or equivalent with rigorous problem-solving.
• Experience moving senior stakeholders and building rapid rapport with people who do not report to you.
• Ability to challenge the CEO with reasoned, candid input.
• Proven track record building operational systems that outlast individuals.
• Fluency with AI tools and judgment on where they add value.

Responsibilities

• Own board meeting preparation end to end: agenda, materials, follow-up.
• Partner with the CEO on board strategy and sequencing of topics.
• Manage cadence and outcomes of Global Leadership Team meetings.
• Translate strategy into time-bound workstreams with accountable owners.
• Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor performance and risk.
