Job summary

Saint Dominic's Family Services in New York seeks a Vice President of Behavioral Health Services to provide leadership for the clinical, administrative, operational, and financial performance of the Article 29-I Health Facility, OLP services, and related integrated programs.

The Vice President oversees clinicians and staff, drives accurate billing and capacity management, and leads program growth while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality care for children, youth, and families.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or related behavioral health field required.
• New York licensure appropriate to the role required.
• 7+ years of progressive behavioral health leadership experience; 5+ years in senior management.
• Experience leading Article 29-I, OLP, Medicaid-funded programs preferred.
• Experience in clinical operations, revenue-cycle performance, budgets, and compliance required.
• Experience in foster care, child welfare, or community-based services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day clinical and administrative performance of Article 29-I and related services.
• Lead, supervise, and hold accountable all clinical and administrative staff.
• Maintain program capacity and optimize referrals, scheduling, and outreach.
• Maximize Medicaid and managed-care revenue through accurate scheduling, billing, and documentation.
• Establish and monitor productivity and utilization standards by service type.
• Create a comprehensive revenue-cycle process from referral to payment reconciliation.
• Collaborate with Finance to resolve denied or unbilled claims and reduce revenue leakage.
• Implement standardized systems, dashboards, and routines for compliant program operations.
• Translate program data into action with performance metrics and corrective actions.
• Develop growth strategies to expand service volume and payer partnerships.
• Build staffing plans and schedules to meet demand and capacity needs.
• Ensure timely contact, assessment, and scheduling of new referrals.
• Improve attendance and reduce missed appointments; ensure complete documentation.
• Maintain readiness for regulatory reviews and ensure compliance.
• Provide senior leadership with concise performance reports and growth opportunities.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
