Job summary

System Studies and Simulation, Inc. seeks a Vice President of its Agile Engineering Division in Huntsville, Alabama.

You will provide strategic leadership for the AED, oversee P&L, budgets, and staffing across 200+ employees and 20 subcontractors, and ensure ISO and quality compliance while growing revenue. The role requires 25+ years in aviation, missiles, and space programs, Shipley business development processes, and an active Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred).

Qualifications

• 25 years of overall experience in aviation, missiles, or space programs.
• 5+ years of leadership of 200+ staff.
• Active Secret clearance; Top Secret preferred.
• Willingness to travel to remote field sites.
• Experience with Shipley business development processes.
• Experience with Huntsville, AL area customers desirable.
• Experience managing 12-20 subcontractors as part of contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution across multiple IDIQ, BPA, and task order prime contracts, sustaining CPARS ratings and durable relationships.
• Own business unit P&L, delivering revenue and EBITDA targets through budgeting, cost control, and policy compliance.
• Plan, allocate, and resource personnel across all programs to meet delivery requirements.
• Lead a 200+ employee workforce and 20 subcontractors, setting performance expectations and reinforcing quality culture.
• Build and qualify the business unit pipeline; serve as capture manager on priority pursuits.
• Execute a customer diversification strategy beyond current core programs and vehicles.
• Recruit strategic hires to enable growth and leadership succession.
• Maintain 97% CDRL schedule compliance with no major issues.
