Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking an experienced underwriter to join their high-impact underwriting team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will manage a profitable Public Entity and Government portfolio, ensuring quality assessments and maintaining strong relationships with agents.
The position requires a degree in business or related field and 7+ years of underwriting experience. A hybrid work schedule allows flexibility, fostering a strong culture and opportunities for mentor ship.

In this role, you will combine technical underwriting expertise, strategic market insight, and strong agent/broker relationships to help drive business growth and portfolio performance. You’ll serve as a trusted subject‑matter expert on multi‑line business, including professional liability, while collaborating closely with internal partners on key initiatives that shape the business. This position offers a hybrid work schedule with 2 days per week onsite.

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
